Chara Foundation Ltd

The Chara Foundation was a not-for-profit company established in 2009 for the purposes of raising funds for armed forces charities. The company was dissolved in 2014. Over the period 2009 - 2013 the company raised over £350,000 for armed forces charities, primarily the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund, BLESMA, SSAFA and the Royal British Legion. The principal fundraising activities were adventure races (the Chara Challenge), charity rugby matches (Chara Bowl) and gala dinners (Commando Dinner).
