Charitarian is an innovative organisation that aims to advice, influence and report on how to balance business and a better world. Made in China, Charitarian makes global impact by profiling best practice in business ethics, government social responsibility, climate change, China charity and global philanthropy.
Company Overview
Founded in 2005 by Wang Liwei as China’s first charity media, Charitarian has developed into a network of social entrepreneurs from Government, business and civil society. Together we influence, inspire and challenge Government and business agendas in the fields of education, health and human rights. Charitarian’s two areas of focus in China are:
Charitarian Foundation which tackles education, health and inequality;
Charitarian Consultancy and Media which provides reports, organises forums and events on issues of social concern. We also advise on how to effectively run NGOs and CSR projects in China.
Although global in outlook, Charitarian operates from within China itself. We have insights into government policy unavailable to others. With an international, diverse and culturally sensitive team at the helm, we are an unusual combination, but one that shines a light on excellent work.
