About Groundbreakers

Groundbreakers is the UK's network of women voluntary sector CEOs. It aims to provide a space for women chief executives of national and international charities to learn from each other and network at events with guest speakers. Past guest speakers have included: Sarah Brown, Helen Stephenson CBE, Hilary McGrady and many others. Please see our website: https://www.charitygroundbreakers.org.uk/ Groundbreakers was founded in 2002 by Dorothy Dalton (former Chief Executive of ACEVO and the first editor of Governance magazine) and Geraldine Peacock (former Chief Executive of Guide Dogs for the Blind Association and former Chair of the Charity Commission). The Groundbreakers current Steering Committee includes: Susan Daniels OBE (Chief Executive of the National Deaf Children's Society) and chair of Groundbreakers; Caroline Diehl MBE, Chief Executive of Impact Media and the Social Founders Network; Camilla Knox-Peebles, Chief Executive of Amref Health Africa UK; Polly Neate CBE, CEO of Shelter; Dhivya O'Connor, CEO of the Cherie Blair Foundation; Bridget Warr CBE, CEO of UK Home Care Association.
