CHAS @ St Vincent's provides a variety of services to help reduce the effects of poverty on local people. We provide:
A Furniture Re-Use scheme so people on a low budget can purchase good quality second hand Furniture and Household Goods
Provision of low cost White Goods (Fridges, Electric Cookers, Washers, etc.)
Free specialist level Housing Advocacy to those threatened with homelessness or having problems with their landlord
Free specialist level Debt advice
Free general level advice and assistance in Welfare Benefits and Immigration
Free ESOL, IT and other classes
Free Migrant Support Drop-In
Free Work Club
Charity shop superstore
Support from the local community has always been a main feature in our work. We welcome Volunteers to help in our shops, offices or furniture service. We also need donations for our furniture shops; we will collect them from you free of charge. High quality used goods are sold on at low cost. All funds we raise are used to help us to continue to provide for people who need our support.
