Their commitment to crafting a pure, unblended eau-de-vie leads them to excellence. In 2017, Château Arton's Armagnacs received the Excellence Award at the Paris Agricultural Competition.
Emphasizing the essence of fruit and grape, Château Arton is the birthplace of AOC Blanche Armagnac, which doesn't age in casks. This unoaked Armagnac enhances wine aromas thanks to the distinctiveness of the Armagnac still, preserving the vitality of the original wine.
Château Arton is home to the Haut-Armagnac AOC appellation. This confidential terroir, wiped out by phylloxera in the 19th century, came back to life in Lectoure in 1991, thanks to the Montal-Montesquiou family, heir to the famous Musketeer d’Artagnan. Today, the 220-acres family estate owns over half of the vines of this terroir dedicated to the production of Armagnac.
At Arton, the most faithful expression of the terroir relies on permaculture.
