About Chatham House International Law Programme
Research by the International Law Programme focuses on the role international law plays in strengthening cooperation on transnational issues, preventing conflict and promoting the rights of individuals. Our policy-sensitive research provides: - Insights into how the law should adapt to address emerging global challenges - Practical recommendations for strengthening compliance with existing rules - Analysis of shifting dynamics in international law Our current areas of focus include challenges for the international human rights system, governance of cyber operations, China’s engagement with international law and strengthening compliance with international humanitarian law. Multidisciplinary in nature, our work brings together specialists in a range of international law fields with policy experts.
