Abstract: Across Europe, medical practitioners face a persistent challenge: harnessing the potential of cutting-edge AI in practical medical contexts. Despite advancements, integrating AI into daily healthcare routines remains elusive. This disparity in AI implementation particularly affects countries with less developed research infrastructures. To address this,Austria and Slovenia, renowned for AI research, have joined forces with North Macedonia and Serbia. In this context, the EU-funded ChatMED project aims to bridge the knowledge gap, propagate Generative AI expertise, and redefine medical practices. Beyond innovation, ChatMED fosters cross-border collaboration, empowering Widening countries with coordination skills and revolutionising medical landscapes.
