Check Depot was founded in 1991 and opened its first store in Birmingham, Alabama on Green Springs Highway. This original store is still open today and is the highest volume store in the company. Today, we have twelve locations in central Alabama, nine in Birmingham, one in Tuscaloosa, Talladega & Oxford!
The company provides financial services to all communities by offering payday loans, title loans, card to cash, check cashing services, Western Union wire transfers, and NetSpend prepaid Visa/Mastercard debit cards. In addition, we offer notary services, money orders, bill pay services, postage stamps and direct deposit services.
