Checks & Greys is a modern and relaxing space where you can arrange to meet for either business or pleasure, enjoy a quick lunch or long relaxing afternoon with our varied menus of mouthwatering food and refreshing beverages. We take our name from the Blackburn Checks & Greys – traditional weaving patterns for which the town was once world-famous. This forgotten piece of Blackburn’s history has been revived by our business, bringing the name back to the local community as a source of pride and achievement. Checks & Greys is a place for the people of Blackburn to enjoy as their own – to meet, eat, drink & relax in comfortable surroundings. Independently owned and run, situated in the beautiful, peaceful setting of Blackburn Cathedral’s modern cloisters and overlooking the new Cathedral Square development.
