My experience as a chef has made me versatile in my ability to create exiting menus best explained as a fusion of international flavors that I have developed into a distinct cooking style. My inspiration is drawn from Mediterranean cuisine and the melting-pot South African cuisine has to offer. In my career as a chef I gained experience in French, Italian, British, Thai, South-African, Vegetarian and several other cuisines. At the age of 16, I started to pursue a career in the food and hospitality industry. I grew up watching my mom and grandmother cook, but with no formal training otherwise, quickly worked my way up in the kitchen at the Restaurants I worked at. I developed a strong passion for cooking and began teaching myself under the mentor-ship of Chef John Mountain (The Pumphouse Restuarant) the learnt the ins and outs of the trade. For the last ten years I have cultivated a strong love and dedication to my cooking while still learning and experimenting every day.
