Memoria Artística Chema Alvargonzalez (also know as La Memoria) was established to promote uphold and enhance knowledge and understanding of the artistic legacy of Chema Alvargonzalez, including the diversity of its mediums and subject matter.
It is also responsible for preserving in good condition those works owned by La Memoria; placing representative selections of the work of Chema Alvargonzalez in the permanent collections of major institutions and prominent art collections around the world; serving as a resource for reliable and comprehensive information about the life and work of Chema Alvargonzalez; fostering high standards of quality in those publications that are authorized to reproduce the work of Chema Alvargonzalez; and encouraging individuals and institutions whose artistic and scholarly endeavors that will help advance this mission.
Furthermore, La Memoria owns all of the copyrights owned by Chema Alvargonzalez at his death in 2009 and is the sole body authorized to license those copyrights; and also represents the ownership of GlogauAIR gGmbH running Chema Alvargonzalez's Artist in residence program in Berlin, Germany.
