OUR MISSION Chesapeake Mermaid, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to creating impactful environmental education programs, books, and activities. Our outreach focuses on Chesapeake Bay wildlife and habitats, fostering daily environmental stewardship. OUR PROGRAMS We design our programs based on firsthand experiences in wildlife rescue and habitat restoration. Our presentations blend education, artistry, and entertainment to create emotional connections with the Chesapeake Bay for audiences of all ages. ENGAGE, EDUCATE, ENTERTAIN Each hour-long program incorporates sign language, movement, storytelling, song, and practical ways to support environmental preservation. We serve schools, parks, museums, festivals, and more. As an independent organization, we pride ourselves on offering unique, in-house developed programs with no reliance on crowd-sourced talent or props. 15 YEARS AND COUNTING In our 15th year, we’ve reached up to 30,000 individuals annually. It’s rewarding to see the children we once taught now bring their own kids to our programs. Our passion has become a cherished tradition, and we’re proud to continue inspiring future generations living along the shores of Chesapeake Bay.
