Substance Abuse Free Environment, Inc. (SAFE) is a community coalition that addresses tobacco, alcohol, and other drug use in Chesterfield County, Virginia. The mission of SAFE is to engage our community in working together to prevent substance abuse. The key to the success of SAFE has been the interactions and support provided to citizens from students, parents, private enterprise, and public officials. Substance abuse prevention begins at home. However, people do not live out their lives in the confines of their home. Vigilant community support to help deter and prevent substance abuse sends a strong message of support to everyone. SAFE believes in "preventing substance abuse together."
