Chesterfield is listed on the Main Board of the London Stock Exchange. In 2018 it acquired a VMS exploration project in Cyprus via a reverse take over. Since then has become the largest holder of minerals rights in Cyprus. Its exploration team is headed up by Dr Neil O’Brien, former Head of Exploration and VP of New Business Development at Lundin Mining. Also on the Board is Dave Cliff, ex Head of Exploration Europe for Rio Tinto. In November 2020, Polymetal International, the FTSE 100 mining group, backed the company by buying a 22% strategic stake. In July 2021, Chesterfield purchased 100% of a large copper exploration project in Labrador, Canada from the project generation and royalty company, Altius Minerals. The project area is 297 SQKM and covers an entire sedimentary basin, which is heavily mineralised with over 250 copper prospects identified at or near surface. Altius is assisting the company in its exploration work. An extensive field programme has just been completed and drilling is being planned for March 2021.
