Chew Excavating Ltd. is a dedicated team of experienced professionals specializing in top quality heavy civil and demolition services. Established in 1955, Chew evolved from a single backhoe to one of the largest excavation and civil construction companies on Vancouver Island. Joining the Ralmax Group of Companies in 2015, Chew combined forces with Ralmax Contracting to form Chew Contracting. In 2024, the company officially changed its name to once again be known as Chew Excavating Ltd. Still with the resources of the Ralmax Group, Chew continues to focus on excavation, road works, underground utilities as well as demolition, deconstruction, and hazardous materials removal. From small-scale residential projects to large-scale commercial or municipal/provincial ventures, Chew Excavating Ltd. has the knowledge, skills and resources to tackle any challenge with precision and efficiency.
