Established in 2020, CHHRGE is a multi-sector collaborative to improve the health (physical, mental, social) of persons experiencing homelessness and the vulnerably housed. It currently consists of People with Lived Experience, Shelter and Outreach Providers, Health Professions Students, Clinical and Behavioral Health Providers, Advocates, Public Policy and City Liaisons, Supportive Housing Providers, Legal Partners, at Large Members, and other interested parties.
CHHRGE works to enhance communication and coordination with the City of Chicago and other collaborative stakeholders. CHHRGE also serves as a clearinghouse for information, support, and problem-solving. The mission of CHHRGE is to collectively build the path towards health and housing for people experiencing housing instability in the Chicagoland area. The vision of CHHRGE is a community where all people can achieve good health and stable housing.
