About Chicago Immunoengineering Innovation Center

The Chicago Immunoengineering Innovation Center was founded by Profs. Jeffrey Hubbell & Melody Swartz at the University of Chicago's Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering, with a vision of changing the calculus and model of pre-clinical and translational immunoengineering research. We are not content only with pushing the forefront of discovery and scholarship in this exciting interface between immunology and bioengineering research, but we also want to see impactful and practical solutions that may improve human health. Since its inception, CIIC researchers have spun-off five startup companies based off work in their labs, and with rapid growth in our roster, we strive for more patents, more publications, and more startups.
