Chickenman was formed to re-home the thousands of laying hens that are killed every year once they have become surplus to requirements in the commercial environment. These hens are still productive from a residential perspective and many will keep laying for an additional 3-4 years. At Chickenman we re-home Ex Battery and Ex free range hens to consumers who want to have fresh eggs at home. In the past 8-9 years we have re-homed close to 120,000 hens to families.
