Chie Dù pù dù pà/Chie Dupudupa is a social enterprise specializing in providing handicraft items that are self-designed and handmade from ethnic brocades.
The colorfully-spun threads are as beautiful as blooming flowers, which is a traditional feature of the North-West region of Vietnam - the residential area of various minority ethnic groups.
In recent years, due to the decline in natural material resources and changes in lifestyle, the brocade weaving occupation of this region has been gradually fading away.
Giving a hand to restore the brocade weaving occupation to maitain the unique traditions and cultures of the Northwestern minorities is our aspiration.
As a social enterprise, portion of our profits will be used to create projects and programs to support indigenous people to develop sustainable livelihoods based on preserving and promoting indigenous cultures. In addition, Chie has also built a Northwest cultural sharing space in Hanoi with the aim of bringing different cultures closer together.
