ELG is a social enterprise dedicated to providing high-quality special education, developmental, behavioral and mental health services in Shanghai and the Greater China area. When ELG first started in 2006, there were almost no special education resources available in Shanghai for international or local families. A small group of Western professionals came together with the goal of supporting families and making a difference in the lives of locals. Since then, ELG has grown into an organization with over 70 passionate staff members, many with specialized degrees and expertise, who support families, educators, and children through a variety of services. ELG’s full-time program is specially tailored for children who benefit from highly individualized programs in a caring, small environment. Children can enroll year-round at Pudong and Puxi-based campuses. In addition, ELG offers services including therapeutic interventions, assessments, and social and academic support services. These include speech therapy, occupational therapy, ed-psych assessments and more. As professionals and parents, staff have a genuine understanding of the challenges faced by parents and schools in finding and providing personalized educational services for a wide range of children.
