Established in 2018 with the initial aim to revive and re-invent our Chinatown as well as to restore, preserve and promote our Cultural Heritage. We also aim to help Port-Louis, through Chinatown, to regain their Economic Buoyancy & Development, establish and reinforce links with partners worldwide, empower the next generations through leadership activities and to make Mauritius shine through international platforms.
Since we started, Chinatown Foundation has grown its activities and our projects now include activities in various fields such as Culture & Heritage, Elders & Humanitarian, Gender Equality, Youth & Education, Environment Actions, Digital Initiatives and Security & neighborhood. As one of the most active foundations in Mauritius, we regroup people from youngsters to elders of varied backgrounds to participate in our activities and to share the joy of discovering new horizons. “Stronger Together” is our motto.
