CHIP (Children in Progress), a Registered Society for supporting needy children and young adults, is a charity with a vision. Our vision states that we provide a robust platform to give children, their families an EDGE – to Educate, Develop, Grow and Empower and to save the environment by afforestation programme.
Founded in 1997 in Kolkata, CHIP now has chapters in Mumbai and Nagpur as well.
Since our inception, we have constantly endeavoured to implement a transformative model of ‘Total Child Care’, which involves improving the infrastructure of the schools, developing a more child-centric and innovative curriculum, and improving student health. Our focus is on learning and skills and helping foster good health, leadership, and choice. We are driven by a common goal of imparting quality education and overall growth to children and young adults and also taking care of their basic health and vocational needs.
CHIP also works towards conserving the environment through afforestation programme and has planted 10000+ trees in the last 6 years on the land provided by the Maharashtra Forest Department.
