Chiqio aims to develop perfumes based on the ideology of Artwork-ism, which calls for the design of our fragrances as a reflection of how one lives their life. While a scent is singular, the different stories, poetry, experiences and perceptions behind it are countless. Chiqio is an art brand that originated in Shanghai in 2020. The team comprises of designers, writers, perfumers and filmmakers who firmly believe that Artwork-ism matters. The brand name “chiqio” can be pronounced as “shuh-kee-oh” or “chee-kee-oh”. Chiqio is a name that comes from the Chinese word “ZHIQIAO,” which means“to go to the place where there are tall trees.” Therefore, Chiqio means “To places with tall trees.”
