About Canadian Health Leadership Network (CHLNet)

Created in the fall of 2009 with 12 founding partners, the Canadian Health Leadership Network (CHLNet) is a not-for-profit, purpose-built coalition of 40+ organizations (called Network Partners) who gather to build health leadership capacity and capabilities across Canada. Members cut across jurisdictions, policymakers, academics, health associations, regional health authorities, patients, and health disciplines. CHLNet conducts its work in building health leadership via four value streams: Connecting People through Dialogue and Engagement; Advancing Health Leadership Research, Knowledge and Evaluation; Accelerating Leadership Practices and Capabilities; and Champion Strategic Leadership Excellence. We have crafted a number of resources to help build leadership including: the Leadership Development Impact Assessment Toolkit; the Wise Practices in Leadership Development Toolkit, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Toolkits (in collaboration with CHWN and CCHL); the Leadership Development Self-Assessment (in collaboration with LEADS Global); various articles and papers resulting from projects led by our Research and Evaluation Working Group and Health Leadership Exchange and Acceleration Working Group; the Leadership Development Inventory, a list of various leadership development programs and certifications across Canada; and so much more. These tools are free for Network Partners, but access can be gain through paying a small fee. Contact Kelly Grimes or Grace Gemin if you are interested.
