TECHNOLOGY OF MICROALGAE CULTIVATION IN CLOSED-TYPE PHOTOREACTORS Recognition Microalgae are at the beginning of trophic systems, playing the most important role in the functioning of the whole biosphere. But recently their industrial production has attracted more and more attention, as they find their application in different spheres of national economy. These include the production of foodstuffs, fodder, fertilizers, as well as a new promising direction - biofuel production. The Ukrainian biotechnology company Living Chlorella has been growing microalgae on an industrial scale for over 10 years.Our production facilities are successfully operating in such countries as UKRAINE, KYRGYZSTAN, ARMENIA, UZBEKISTAN, Karakalpak Republic. The obtained biomass is used in agriculture, food industry, perfumery, pharmacology, medicine and other areas of national economy. The world algoflora includes about 40 thousand species (in Ukraine - more than 5 thousand species), but the most promising are considered to be representatives of the families Chlorella, Dunaliella, Scenedesmus, Spirulina. The most productive were diatoms and green algae (Chlorophyceae). New strains of algae characterized by high productivity and oil content were also bred.
