Choosing Empowerment is a Mental/Emotional Health & Wellness organization born to serve the underserved. Our mission is to break barriers that reduce or prevent marginalized and disenfranchised communities from receiving the care they need to heal. We serve all ages and offer individual, couple, and family therapy. Choosing Empowerment's mission is rooted in Empowering people to use their power of choice to heal and to create an awareness that encourages and motivates our population to choose the life they didn't believe they deserved to have. There are so many systems in place that severely reduce the likelihood of BIPOC and LBGTQ+ communities from getting the proper mental health care needed to manage their lives, making them feel powerless.
Choosing Empowerment is a Barrier Breaking, Stigma Eliminating, Inclusive, Non-Judgmental, relationship building safe space for those who struggle to seek mental health care. Our primary populations served are Black/African Americans, and other people of color, LBGTQIA+, foster and adoptive families with minority children.
