Chord Re is an established London market Specialty Reinsurance boutique entering its fifth year of underwriting in 2022. Chord Re was established in 2017, in partnership with Beat Capital Partners Ltd and the Chord Re executive management team. The business began underwriting with effect from 1 January 2018 and has assembled a multi-disciplined team of market-leading underwriters, analysts and portfolio managers. The business aims to provide a combination of deep product knowledge within a balanced portfolio, uniting quantitative analysis with experienced judgement to provide clients with innovative, tailored solutions. For 2022 Chord Re continues to partner with its long-term core capital providers, Beat Syndicate 4242 and Verto Syndicate 2689, through a single Lloyd’s of London consortium structure. Chord Re’s philosophy has remained consistent since the start; to prudently underwrite a balanced and diversified portfolio of Property, Casualty and Specialty Treaty Reinsurance.
