Chow with Amaka (CWA) is a culinary venture dedicated to celebrating Nigerian and African cuisine in a distinctive manner that promotes cultural heritage, wellness, and global connection. Led by Chef Amaka, the convener, CWA embraces the complexity of Nigerian and African ingredients, advocating for their exploration through innovative cooking methods and techniques, a concept known as Naija Fusion. Our aim is to showcase these flavors to the world, placing Nigerian and African meals firmly on the culinary map while fostering greater interaction with global audiences through bespoke Afro-fusion creations. Our journey began as an intimate home-hosting venture, evolving into larger-scale events. Since our inaugural gathering in April 2018, which welcomed 30 guests, Chow with Amaka has successfully orchestrated two additional events in 2021 and 2022. The 2021 event, themed "Sip & Paint with Food," and the 2022 edition, themed "Food and Books," attracted a diverse audience, including food enthusiasts, bloggers, critics, celebrities, and influential figures in the lifestyle sphere. CWA is acclaimed for its commitment to presenting Nigerian heritage through sophisticated dining experiences and exceptional hospitality. Chow with Amaka aspires to achieve several goals: Promote Nigerian and African ingredients globally, raising awareness of their richness and diversity.
