Christopher Grimes Projects

Christopher Grimes Projects develops site-specific works for architectural environments. We engage artists who use conceptual strategies to create unusual and innovative installations. Through the development and realization of architecturally driven, large-scale projects, our focus is on facilitating creative experimentation across all mediums and investigate an expanded terrain of the collaborative potential between art, architecture, the spaces where they intersect and the unique forms of creative expression born of them. Through establishing a relationship between architects and artists early in the design process we hope to better merge their artistic perspectives into the integrity of the finished structure. These projects reach a widened audience outside of the conventional arena of art fairs and gallery spaces. This interest emerged from decades of working with artists whose shared interests in architecture created a common denominator of architecturally based exploration.
