The first official Chernobyl mobile application has been created in Ukraine to mark the Chernobyl disaster's 35th commemoration year. It was built in just 4 months and is supported by the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation. It is called to promote knowledge about the tragedy and involve new audiences in talks about Chernobyl, and its cultural impact.
The application is free to download and available in Ukrainian and English.

It addresses 3 main requests towards the topic:
- to understand of the tragedy of 1986. User will get access to undisclosed materials archives, art around the topic, current state of things in the Zone, media library and fakes
- to explore the territory of the Exclusion Zone in a safe format - digital map of the locations within the Exclusion Zone in text, audio and even AR formats
- to prepare for visiting - rules and suggestions on the travel to the Exclusion Zone, list of guides and tickets without and intermediary
The first official app for Chernobyl is supported by the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of Ukraine, the State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management, the Center for Organizational, Technical and Information Support, National Museum "Chernobyl", IOO "Center PRYPYAT.com", IGO "European Institute of Chernobyl", the Center for Liberation Movement Studies.
