Chrysalis Nature Training is a nature training college that focusing on providing quality, relevant and practical education and training in the fields of marine, adventure, nature and wildlife conservation for enthusiasts and prospective career guides.
Our passionate, highly qualified academic staff and guest speakers ensure that our clients not only gain knowledge, but also learn their own strengths and areas for development, enabling them to unleash their potential and spread their wings.
All of our courses are practically focused and aligned to Nationally Recognised Skills Programmes and Qualifications on the South African National Qualifications Framework.
Our courses include nature guide training, marine conservation and Ecology and Terrestrial and Marine Field Research Techniques. Our online birding courses range from Beginner to advanced levels. We are flexible in our offerings with online, onsite and a combination of online and onsite options.
We also offer bespoke Conservation and Nature Education field trips for local and international schools, colleges and universities. We have various nature and conservation activities that include a short theory component, followed up with a large portion of time doing practical activities in the field. We work very closely with our clients to create a customised program to meet the needs of each group. Field trips typically take place in rural bush and beach locations, some of which have the Big 5.
