Château Martet

Château Martet, a family estate owned by the de Coninck family, is ideally situated on the first two southern slopes overlooking the Dordogne, 25 km east of Saint-Emilion. With the help of Louis Mitjavile (Tertre Roteboeuf, Roc de Cambes) from 1998 to 2020, and Nina Mitjavile from 2021, Château Martet's wines are following in the footsteps of the greatest. Today, Patrick's children are carrying on this work, making Château Martet a vineyard to be reckoned with, and here are just a few of their recent achievements: - La Réserve de Famille was voted 6th best wine of the last ten years out of nearly 1,000 references tasted blind by the Rémy Poussart 2019 guide, - Andreas Larsson, World's Best Sommelier 2007, awarded our 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021 vintages a magnificent 93/100, and a superb 94/100 for our 2020, - The Guide Hachette 2023 awarded our 2019 Reserve 3 stars as well as the Coup de Coeur from the jury of professional tasters. As a result, Château Martet is one of only 18 Premiers and Seconds Grands Crus classés to have achieved this ultimate accolade, - Finally, La Fierté de Mon Père 2015 was awarded a 4.6/5 by Vivino customers, breaking into the site's top 2%! Lastly, for the fun fact, La Réserve de Famille is also the favorite wine of our President Emmanuel Macron (see press kit), and one of Angela Merkel's favorites.
