CIAAC (IT Center of Associação Académica de Coimbra)is a cultural section that aims to:
a. Digital inclusion through the dissemination, promotion and acquisition of computer and technological knowledge in a broad sense;
b. Discussion of the impact of IT and technological advances on the reality of the 21st century.
We live in a society in which technological innovation is a constant. This brings immense advantages, reinforcing the interdependencies of globalization and allowing new forms of interaction and functionalities in the life of each individual. However, this world of possibilities also generates possible inequalities: these new knowledges require new forms of integration and training of different demographics, at the risk of creating social injustices in access to information. We want to act on this topic. We want to find solutions and study the impact of new advances in order to be able to make this 4.0 society more accessible and safe for as many people as possible.
