The Centre for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CIE) aims to foster a vibrant ecosystem for the creation and growth of enterprises.
The overarching objectives of the centre are:
1. To create and disseminate research-based knowledge in the area of innovation and entrepreneurship that influences education, practice and policy for the emerging markets.
2. To utilize the knowledge and expertise to engage with business, government and society, and to contribute and promote entrepreneurial approaches to address socio-economic challenges of emerging markets.
While the CIE focuses on Knowledge creation and dissemination, it supports the practice of innovation and entrepreneurship through DLabs and AIC, the Incubation, Acceleration and Investments arms of ISB.
CIE works closely with different ministries and government organizations like Telangana Welfare Department (TWD), Government of Telangana; Tribal Cooperative Finance Corporation Ltd. (TRICOR); Andhra Pradesh Information Technology Academy (APITA); and Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK), to conduct skill and capacity building programmes for various stakeholders including but not limited to students and educated tribal youth. CIE also delves deeper into conducting workshops focussing on corporate innovation and entrepreneurship for corporate organizations.
