Ciheb Tanzania

Ciheb Tanzania, a non profit organization formed out of the University of Maryland Baltimore’s (UMB) Tanzania programs. As such, the knowledge, staff, financial and administration systems used over the last 18 years of UMB work in Tanzania supporting over 7 USG and WHO-funded HIV and TB programs in 28 regions and 140 districts with a portfolio of over $30 million and 60 staff was transitioned to CIHEB-Tanzania. As an offspring of UMB’s Tanzania program, Ciheb-Tanzania, inherited the longstanding expertise, experience and skills of Technical assistance & continuous quality improvement. Our Outcomes & Evaluation department that has been overseeing the Continuous Quality Improvement activities in the previous and existing projects is playing a key role in ensuring that patients are receiving Quality of care. Our Mission is to implement Public Health programs that aim to improve Public Health in Tanzania and promote innovations that enhance the efficiency & effectiveness of health care services and delivery. Ciheb-Tanzania's objectives are: 1)To promote strengthening of health systems, quality service delivery and technical assistance for the provision of high-quality clinical care and service delivery in Tanzania. (2)To promote and enhance health service education, healthcare, water and sanitation for improvement of health, fight against diseases and well-being of the people. (3)Advocate Implementation of programs with the highest regard to integrity, health professional skills, technical quality and sound fiscal management. We always seek to reduce bottlenecks that impend quality service delivery, improve data quality and use of data for decision making. Ciheb Tanzania- "Improving the human condition"
