The Institute of Aging (IA) is a national leader in addressing health research priorities for older adults. IA initiatives not only link and support researchers located in universities and hospitals across the country, but also bring together different levels of government, practitioners, voluntary health organizations and older adults themselves. Together our community is working to increase our knowledge about aging, in order to help address the challenges facing Canada's growing older adults' population and to promote the elements of healthy and successful aging. --------------------------------------------------------------- L'Institut du vieillissement (IV) est un chef de file national en s'attaquant aux priorités de recherche en santé pour les personnes âgées. Les initiatives de l'IV non seulement mettent en contact et appuient les chercheurs dans les universités et les hôpitaux partout au pays, mais mobilisent aussi les pouvoirs publics, les praticiens, les organismes de santé bénévoles et les personnes âgées elles-mêmes. Ensemble, les intervenants dans le domaine du vieillissement travaillent pour accroître nos connaissances sur le vieillissement afin d'aider à relever les défis auxquels fait face la population âgée du Canada et de favoriser les conditions d'un vieillissement sain et heureux.
