The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Singapore (CILTS) is part of the leading, global professional body for those engaged in supply chain, logistics and transport – covering all sectors of the industry, namely air, land and sea, for both passenger and freight transportation. The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) is a worldwide organisation with an established international pedigree and a global membership strength of more than 32,000 in 38 countries. The organisation was formed in the United Kingdom in 1919 as the Institute of Transport and granted a Royal Charter in 1926. It was renamed as The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) in 2001. The Singapore Group was formed in 1971.
