CIMAT-GDS is a specialized area in software development of the Mathematics Research Center (CIMAT).
Our mission is to connect the industry and business sector with the academia through the development of projects related to our areas of expertise: Pure and Applied Mathematics, Probability and Statistics, and Computer Science.
Our team has 15 years of experience developing projects that require software components and computer science such as: Optimization, Machine Learning, Image Processing, Mathematical and Statistical modelling, and Patter Recognition.
Our staff is trained in agile methodologies for software development such as SCRUM and KANBAN.
CIMAT was established in 1980 in the city of Guanajuato and is a member of the System of Public Research Centers of Mexico's National Board of Science and Technology (CONACYT). Nowadays, CIMAT is one of the most important research centers in the country. Its continuous endeavour to achieve an equilibrium between pure and applied mathematics and its work in technology transfer and development, in collaboration with other institutions and private enterprises, give CIMAT a very special individuality. CIMAT has very high level personnel, since more than 80% of our researchers belong to the National System of Researchers (SNI) and 93% of them hold a PhD.
