The Crane Institute for Music Business and Entrepreneurship CIMBE has a widely recognized profile as a center of excellence for educating the next generation of industry professionals. Initiated by a consortium of visionary companies from music products, the Institute has maintained particularly close links with this area, including a much-envied cooperation over key annual industry event, The NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA; however, the Institute’s reputation has now grown to also attract students with an interest in Arts Administration and Music Technology. Building on a period of consolidation under the distinguished leadership of Prof. Carol ‘Kickie’ Britt, CIMBE has recently recruited Marc Ernesti, who enjoys a dual career in senior music management and academia, from the Royal Academy of Music in London. This creates a window of opportunity for CIMBE to enter the next exciting phase of its development, and achieve a step-change in what we deliver and how, to best serve the music industry of the future.
