CinciNNI is a quantum condensed matter theory forum structured around one-day events typically held few times a year, involving researchers as well their graduate students and postdocs from the tri-state (OH, KY, IN) area. Each CinciNNI event has a specific theme that we collectively delve deep into. The most common pattern is that one of the talks is given by an external speaker from outside the tri-state area and one talk is given by a tri-state speaker.

Some of the themes explored in the past: Ultracold unitary Fermi gases, Topological insulators and topological order, Hardcore bosons, Graphene, Fractional quantum Hall states and topological superconductors: Non-abelian statistics and all that, AdS/CFT correspondence and its connections to condensed matter physics, 2D dirty superconductors and the superconductorinsulator transition, High temperature cuprate superconductors, Emerging phenomena in quantum Hall systems.
