CIPHI Ontario

CIPHI Ontario is one of eight branches under the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors. It has the largest branch membership, with 550 of the 1,200 national members. The Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors exists to protect the health of Canadians, to represent all Environmental Public Health Professionals also referred to as Public Health Inspectors, across Canada, and to advance the profession, science and field of environmental public health through certification, advocacy, education and setting standards. Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors is the only national professional association for Environmental Public Health Professionals in Canada. No other organization covers the continuum of environmental public health: food protection; drinking-water quality; on-site wastewater disposal; indoor air quality; epidemiology; tobacco reduction; communicable diseases and many other environmental health initiatives. CIPHI Ontario operates within the vision, mission and constitution of Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors National, and represents the interests of its members to our national executive committee and local stakeholders.
