Collectif-grandest.org is the collaborative platform of the circular economy of the actors of the Grand Est region. This territorial portal brings together initiatives, actors, knowledge, tools, news and events from the circular economy. A space for valorisation, sharing and meeting, it is at the service of local authorities, companies and associations in the region.
The Mediterranean territories present as many similarities as contrasts in all ecosystemic and societal dimensions. They share the long historical heritage of civilisational encounter and lost hegemony, as well as the Mediterranean Sea itself, a common environment, a shared resource, and a cultural and commercial meeting point. Similarities and contrasts also apply to issues specific to the ecological and social transition. Like all countries in the world, none of those bordering the Mediterranean currently operate in an ecologically safe and socially just space for humanity. The area is identified as a hotspot for climate change, where significant adaptation efforts are already and will continue to be necessary, particularly with regard to water resources, agricultural activities and the built environment. Marine plastic pollution, resulting from land-based pollution, is the highest in the world in the Mediterranean, and degrades both the natural environment and the socio-economic systems that depend on a healthy sea.
