CIRCUIT Istanbul

CIRCUIT (formerly Closet Circuit) is an arts and culture organization that connects people through gatherings, exhibitions and creative education. Our programs encourage self-inquiry, environmental awareness, and community mindfulness. Through our events we continue to build a trusting and diverse community that share our hopes for change. Past and ongoing events include collective dinners, local creative bazaars, art exhibitions, social entrepreneur launch events, art classes, yoga and movement classes, and workshops. As an organization we are uniquely committed to sustainability and mindful living, and we communicate these values through doing. We make garbage and recycling separation a visible process; require all projects to think about packaging and try to use sustainable versions; offer only reusable plates, glasses, and cutlery; and ask that people bring food in tupperware or other reusable packaging. In addition to operating with sustainable practices, most events touch on social or environmental themes and topics. In addition to our own programming, we also collaborate with small-scale creative projects that use culture to make social change. Each collaboration is unique. For some projects we offer support through the use of our space, human and material resources, assistance with publicity, and access to a wider network and audience. The space is also available for independent rental for events or exhibitions. Please contact us if you have a project or workshop to propose or if you wish to rent the space.
