About CIRM at CSUSB

The CIRM Bridges and COMPASS Programs at Cal State San Bernardino are state-funded initiatives dedicated to expanding diversity and participation in stem cell research and regenerative medicine. Since 2010, the CIRM Bridges Program has provided rigorous training to over 120 undergraduate and master’s students, many of whom have gone on to successful careers as research technicians or have been accepted into prestigious Ph.D., medical, dental, and pharmacy programs. Our students gain hands-on experience in leading stem cell laboratories, including those at City of Hope, Children’s Hospital LA/USC, UCI, and more. The COMPASS Program enhances undergraduates’ experiences by offering research opportunities on campus and a summer internship at a host lab, further developing their research skills and career prospects. At CIRM CSUSB, we're not just advancing stem cell research; we're empowering our diverse student body to become leaders in the transformative field of regenerative medicine.
