CISV Peru

CISV was founded on the belief that peace is possible through building friendships and mutual understanding, starting with children. We help our young participants develop to their full potential as future leaders and active citizens, empowering them to make a difference in their communities and the world. We also provide them with opportunities to build global friendships and networks that will last a lifetime. Our innovative, fun, and non-formal ‘learning by doing’ programs begin with our original and unique Village program for 11-year-olds. We offer an exciting blend of five international camp-based and local community programs for all ages. CISV International is a global organization dedicated to educating and inspiring people for peace by fostering intercultural friendship, cooperation, and understanding. Founded in 1950, we are now a federation of nearly 60 National Associations with over 200 Chapters or local groups, all run at the grassroots level by volunteers.
