CISV Egypt

CISV is a global organization dedicated to educating and inspiring for peace through building inter-cultural friendship, cooperation and understanding. Founded in 1950, CISV today has 70 Member Associations around the world with over 200 Chapters or local groups. CISV Egypt offers multiple programs and volunteer opportunities to promote peace education providing its volunteers with the attitude, skills, and knowledge to become agents of change both locally and globally - to become active global citizens. In Egypt, CISV offers a diverse range of programs tailored to different age groups, each designed to nurture essential skills and attitudes that promote peace and cooperation. These include: Village (11 years) Local Camp (10-13 years) Step Up (14-15 years) Junior Counselor (JC) (16 - 17 years ) Seminar (16 - 17 years) Leaders (21+), they travel with their delegations to provide supervision and care throughout the programs. Additionally, we have the Junior Branch (JB) which is an opportunity to take CISV out of the campsite and use all the tools learned in CISV to develop local projects. JB is believed to be the heart of CISV because it can be a driving force in the development of the organisation in different aspects including training and educational content. JBers are given the opportunity to gain confidence, get out of their comfort zones and always develop themselves. We also work on implementing the international JB goals such as building a Junior Branch community, developing individuals and leadership, encouraging education and action, and challenging and developing our organization. Over the past few years, we have worked on different projects with LMOs to give back to our community.
