CITADEL UVBF

The Center of Interdisciplinary Excellence in Artificial Intelligence for Development (CITADEL) is the concretization of an innovation laboratory envisaged in the UVBF strategic plan. It is housed within the "Digital Sciences Program" (equivalent to a faculty in the UVBF organization chart). This program has already implemented innovative educational curricula in computer science training. For the first time in a public university in Burkina Faso, this program has opened a curriculum for specialized software engineers in the first year after the baccalaureate. In 2020, this program also offered the first Master's degree in cybersecurity in initial training. The CITADEL center welcomes any researcher from Burkina (and the sub-region) looking for a favorable environment to conduct high quality and globally competitive research that is interdisciplinary and committed to areas relevant to the African context.
