About Counselors In The Community Association

CITCA is a national network of counselors, student counselors and mental health practitioners passionate about changing the status quo on resources and access to quality care for low income and underrepresented communities. Our organization creates a space for professionals to share resources and information, increase career enhancement opportunities and work collaboratively to get active in community activities. We aim to strengthen the counselor-community relationship to make quality mental health services and resources more accessible to those who truly need them. Serving youth ages 8-17, young adults ages 18-26, and families (teen & young adult parents), our services include * Livestream online community education * Wellness training workshops * Socio-emotional development programs * Community volunteering * Youth leadership development * Family IEP advocacy * Counseling referrals All programs and support are lead by wellness professionals skilled at providing delicately and diligent mental health care support. Through our counselor alliance and partnerships families and individuals have access to quality behavioral health and mental health services and resources so they are empowered to better care for themselves and their families.
