Our history begins in 1955, when Webb Air Force Base Federal Credit Union first opened its doors. Webb Air Force Base Federal Credit Union was chartered to serve the employees and the family members of Webb Air Force Base here in Big Spring, Texas. After the base closed, our charter was converted into a community credit union. It was at that time, in 1978, that we changed our name to Citizens Federal Credit Union.
Today, the field of membership of Citizens Federal Credit Union is based on a common bond of people. This field of membership includes anyone that lives, works, worships, volunteers, or attends school in Borden, Dawson, Ector, Glasscock, Howard, Lubbock, Lynn, Martin, Midland, Mitchell, Nolan, and Taylor counties in Texas, as well as their immediate family members, business and other legal entities located therein.
