CITRIS and the Banatao Institute at UC Merced

The Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society and the Banatao Institute (CITRIS) is a fully-functioning research unit with the University of California, Merced and is recognized as one of the four CITRIS campuses: UC Merced, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, and UC Santa Cruz. CITRIS develops synergistic partnerships with academic institutions and corporate collaborators worldwide to collectively produce innovative solutions to challenges in four primary sectors. CITRIS at UC Merced addresses California's most pressing societal and environmental problems by leveraging cutting-edge technologies and incorporating a convergence of student-driven initiatives, seed grants & faculty research, and corporate partnerships. As an established Institute of Science and Innovation, CITRIS is a research and outreach enterprise within the School of Engineering at University of California Merced. CITRIS UCM addresses California's most pressing societal and environmental problems by leveraging cutting-edge technologies, developing novel research, and conducting inspiring outreach: Student-Driven Initiatives, Seed Grants & Faculty Research, and developing community, educational and industry partnerships.
